What should I eat tonight?

The wheel comes loaded with everyday meals, so you can spin straight away. Swap in your own list if you have a fridge to use up or a takeaway rotation to settle.

16 meals

How it works

  1. 1

Start with the list, or your own

Sixteen everyday meals are already on the wheel. Replace them with what you can actually cook tonight if you would rather.

  2. 2

    Spin

Press Spin, or tap the wheel. One meal wins and everything else stays in.

  3. 3

Plan a week, if you want

Turn on "remove winner after each spin" and keep spinning. Each meal drops off as it is chosen, so seven spins give you seven different dinners.

For the nightly argument nobody wants to have

Deciding what to eat is a small decision that somehow takes the longest, usually because nobody wants to be the one who chose. Handing it to a wheel is faster than another round of asking what everyone feels like, and it works just as well for a household as for one person staring into a fridge.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up and nothing to install.

Can I use my own meals instead?

Yes, and most people should. Paste your own list one per line or separated by commas. The preloaded meals are only there so the wheel is useful the second you arrive.

Can I plan a whole week at once?

Turn on "remove winner after each spin" and spin seven times. Each meal comes off the wheel once it has been chosen, so you get seven different dinners rather than the same one repeatedly.

Is it really random, or does it prefer whatever is first?

Genuinely random, and the order you type in makes no difference. The winner is chosen by a seeded generator before the wheel moves, using uniform sampling with rejection so no position on the list is favoured.

Can I share the result with whoever is cooking?

"Copy share link" gives you a link containing the list and the seed of that spin, so it reproduces the same meal for whoever opens it instead of spinning again.
